LINEN /COTTON

  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as the prefered option.

  • When it comes time to fully wash: Handwash.

  • Fill a clean sink with cold water and add a drop of basic, mild handwash laundry soap. Do not use soap with fabric brighteners, bleaches or enzymes.

  • Soak and gently swish the carrier in the soapy water for a minute or so.

  • Spot treat an area if required easing away the dirt.

  • Rinse in cool water until all soap has been washed away.

  • To remove excess water, lay out your carrier on a clean towel and roll to absorb water.

  • Hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

  • Steam iron to finish.

  • Through washing, the colour of your carrier *may* slightly fade over time, this is a natural characteristic of some linen fabrics.

 

SILK

Tweed

  • Wool contains lanolin which brilliantly repels dirt and moisture; it requires very little laundering and is hardwearing.
  • Take care of your tweed by spot cleaning with a damp cloth and only hand wash wool cool when absolutely necessary.
  •  When required, hand wash wool: Fill a clean sink with cold water and add a drop of special wool liquid soap. Never use powder detergent.
  • Soak and gently swish the carrier for a minute or so.
  • Be cautious not to wring, rub or stretch whilst washing.
  • Rinse with cool water.
  • To remove excess water lay out your carrier on a clean towel and roll to absorb water.
  • Hang to dry out of direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
  •  Steam iron the lining to finish.
