Your mezaya sling

There is a learning curve to using a sling, but once you know how to work it it's one of the easiest, quickest and cosiest ways to carry your baby!

STEP 1:

LEARN HOW TO THREAD YOUR SLING

(Don't worry! It's very simple once you know how and you don't need to re-thread it each time you wear the sling.)

STEP 2:

HOW TO WEAR THE SLING

(Below I show a demo of wearing my then 8 week old newborn in the sling and then we filmed again when he was 8 months old,  so you can see what it looks like with different baby sizes. There is also an option for a hip carry for older babies, but most parents still use the 'tummy to tummy' carry right through to the toddler years!)

STEP 3:

FOR ULTIMATE COMFORT + SAFTEY

The 'pelvic tuck' position is basically the key to safe, secure and comfy baby wearing.

(👉🏼With newborns, instead of palms on soles of feet, very gently hold baby's thigh (with a thumb and finger) and scoop towards your body to encourage a gentle tuck.)

If your baby is sat in a pelvic tuck position, they won't need much extra head support due to the c shape curve in their spine. However, you can make a little pillow to add some extra head support for your newborn when they are asleep in the sling, as they will have less muscle control then. It's really quick and easy to do.
